Please help my lovely Kimmy be able to breathe!

My recent blogs have all been very jolly and happy, after winning the modelling competition I have been on cloud 9!  However, when it comes to my friends and family, my feet remain firmly on the ground...and one friend in particular is having a tough time at the moment! My lovely Kimmy - look isn't she a beauty?!

Well, she really needs your help!  Kim has Cystic Fibrosis and has become so poorly that she is now in desperate need of new lungs!  Kim and her lovely husband Stefan have had quite a turbulent few months going through endless hospital visits and investigations in the hope of Kim being listed on the active transplant list for some new lungs!  On 27th January this year she was finally listed!!!!


She has since had a few problems with her iron levels and has been suspended from the active list!  We must think positively though and be sure that it will be no time at all until she is back on that list!


Now here is where we need your help!  Kim and Stef know the unfortunate truth that there are not enough organ donors out there for everyone and how painful it is to write this...many people die while waiting for new lungs to become available!  Please, please, we can't let this happen to Kimmy!

Unbelievably, Kim and I have never actually met!  We became friends on facebook and very quickly became very close!  We now text each other every day and are in the process now of trying to arrange a weekend for Kevin and I to go and visit them!  We have been speaking so much, we are so excited that we will finally get to meet each other!  It is quite rare that you meet such wonderful friends in life...please help us to make sure that this story has a happy ending!


As a nurse, I feel so helpless when she texts me telling me how much trouble she is having just breathing!  It sounds so simple but all she wants to do is breathe....the most difficult thing in the world for her right now!  I hate to hear her suffering!  

I would also like to dedicate this song to Kimmy!  This is the new song from Ali and Christina - 2 sisters with CF who found fame on America's Got Talent!  They are such an inspiration and these lyrics are for you Kim!
